Tog@ther is a hosted Conference and Event Management solution. "Hosted solution" here indicates that the software itself runs on the @mire servers and is not available for download or purchase. It also means that the Tog@ther software and the systems it runs on are constantly monitored, improved and updated. In this context, "Conference and Event Management" stands for all the tasks and processes that come along with setting up and organizing a live event or conference. To assist organizers (conveners), Tog@ther has valuable tools improving tasks before, during and after the actual conference. More information on these features.
Tog@ther offers different pricing ranges for different needs. For a single event or a few events, you pay a set-up fee and a fee per user (depending on the number of users), but in the case of a multitude of events hosted by Tog@ther, a different price format (License) can be arranged. Tog@ther offers tailored approaches for your needs, whether its a small event or a very big conference, the price will be cost-effective. Please fill out a Quotation Form without engagement, to find out your best pricing formula.
Tog@ther can be used for any type of event or conference where interaction with attendees is required. Through its custom forms and reports, it provides powerful tools to handle large amounts of attendees who provide personal details. However, as Tog@ther is based on repository technology, more added value becomes visible when your conference or event requires attendees to submit documents or files that require reviewing or quality control. If your event requires extra functionality or different settings, feel free to contact the technical team.
Tog@ther offers conveners different choices to receive attendee payments. In the cash, wire transfer and credit card (non-paypal) options, the convener provides the necessary bank details that will be presented to attendees in the online interface and payment emails. After receiving payments, conveners can indicate the payment status in the Reports section. If your conference accepts credit card payments, life as a convener becomes easier by choosing the Paypal payment option. You will need a valid paypal account in order to activate this feature. After this, payment status is being tracked automatically in the reports section. Through the integrated approach, attendees cant make payment mistakes and tampering will not pass by unnoticed. Paypal charges 3% of the total amount as a fee, which is substantially lower than other available credit card payment solutions. Tog@ther does not add extra charges for the use of this integration.
Although Tog@ther offers different elegant ways to present your conference information, it is also possible to integrate the forms directly in your website. Every separate form and the submission process can be linked directly from within your website. In the backend, you can use Tog@ther for a variety of tasks, even if you rely on your own sites for the web presence of your conference. For example, Tog@ther can be used to send out personalized invitation emails for your conference.
There are many open source solutions (some with great track records) offering call for papers and reviewing functionality. However, these are often not well documented and might need additional customization before they become usable in the context of your conference or event. Aside from this, additional costs arise in installing and configuring the application on your servers, and the costs of these servers. Tog@ther guarantees that specialists start working on your problem within 12 hours of notification. If you require a similar service level agreement for your own open source application, it considerably adds to the costs.
If your conference or event requires most of the functionality Tog@ther offers, we believe Tog@ther offers the best value for money. Please inform us if you disagree.
Conveners can select to make submitted files publicly available or not. If the latter is selected, files do not appear publicly, and can only be downloaded by conveners and assigned reviewers. However, information from the fields conveners create in the submission form, will be indexed for search and are available to the public. So the correct way to ensure confidentiality is to instruct your attendees to put all the confidential information in the files, and make sure you indicate that files are not publicly available in the conference settings.
Tog@ther has been developed by @mire NV, the Institutional Repository Solution Provider. Thanks to extensive experience in customizing the DSpace Institutional Repository system for academic institutes, @mire created Tog@ther on top of existing DSpace Software. When dealing with scientists at various institutions, @mire recognized the need for better online support systems for conferences.
