The annual Tectonic Studies Group, an internationally oriented conference on geology, made use of Tog@ther in early 2008. The system and its forms were closely integrated with an already existing conference website. All online input from attendees, as well as the call for papers procedures were implemented in Tog@ther. The flexible forms allowed us to collect information, related to pre-registration, registration and travel arrangement, in a user friendly way. With one push on the button, all the data could be exported to a spreadsheet. The fact that an updated view on all these data was always available to all co-conveners, really proved to be an asset to us.

After the conference, we still saw more benefits in using Tog@ther, for the dissemination of our scientific content: a thesis student contacted us after finding a relevant paper on Tog@ther, through Google. Although paper proceedings won't be disappearing anytime soon, this kind of "web visibility" for research has quite some added value.

3rd International Electronic Voting 2008 Conference

  • Convener(s):
    • Robert Krimmer, Director at E-Voting.CC, Austria
  • Orientation: Social Sciences > Electronic Voting
  • Number of submissions: to be determined
  • Number of attendees (registered in Tog@ther): to be determined

We chose Tog@ther for the third edition of our conference, a worldwide summit of e-voting experts. Aside from the advanced features, we experienced substantial added value in the responsiveness and flexibility of the Tog@ther team. All issues and questions are being handled in a swift and personal manner, which adds a degree of trust. For our submission workflow, we opted for the elaborated reviewing system, allowing us to compose a our own reviewing form and assigning reviewers to different publications. Our programme committee is 30 people strong. Tog@ther offers each of them a specific view on the submitted data, what proves to be quite an asset. The fact that you can choose to what extend you wish to customize Tog@ther, through its flexible forms and infopages, makes both quick or very elaborated approaches possible.

The tools are easy to use and the look and feel is very nice. Last-minute add-ons and changes can be very easily updated in the system. Thanks to Tog@ther, we weren't confronted with any unexpected surprises.
